Busy bee and sickness

Hi everyone, it's been a long time.

I suppose I should start with saying that I have still been reading everyone's blogs each day... But... I have had my head in the sand, haven't wanted to blog for the fact that I haven't really achieved anything and thought how can I comment on others blogs when I haven't achieved anything???

I have been flat out lately. Since netball and school holidays Kane and I have been fixing up our house flat strap. We have totally re-done the backyard including a watering system, water saved it with crystals and mulched every garden bed, painted our room, had the plastering done in the kitchen and had the kitchen tiles done. Now we need to make slight changes to a laminate wall next to the oven to tile that tiny space. (The previous tile cracked because whoever put it on used the wrong glue and hence it has burnt the laminate, which is OK, except the tiles we have chosen are too deep and so they don't quite fit! It's always one thing that leads into another) On Saturday we are going to paint half the kitchen/dining/living room. It's quite a big job.

I am sooooooo over renovating. I want my own time back and I would really like to get up on a weekend, go for a long walk, have a shower, put descent clothes on and dry my hair nicely. Instead at the moment I seem to get up have a shower, tie my hair up in a bun, put a headband in and wear crappy paint/outdoor clothes and it make me feel shit all day. Then my weekend is gone and back into work for the week... same cycle next weekend again! OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!

So because we have been going so hard... (In an attempt to have it all finished before Christmas) I have come down with a nasty bug. We had a few drinks on Saturday night and a few cigarettes (naughty I know, smack, smack, smack), my BF passed out on the loungeroom floor as we didn't eat tea! I woke up feeling, well, crap. But as Sunday went on, I didn't get any better, the others did. Monday my throat was very dry and I had a fuzzy head, yesterday the nose started and the cough as well, by last night my voice started to disappear. This morning I have a full on head cold and crackly voice as well as these bizarre stomach cramps that have lasted 3 days so far. They are like hunger pains, but without the stomach grumbles or need to eat, and worse after I eat.

Exercise... whats that???? In the past 3 weeks I have managed 3 netball games and 2 3km runs. But somehow I have managed to keep my weight at a constant 60.3 - 60.7kgs. The bodyfat is creeping up slowly though.

Anyway I have 6 DVD's to get through while I'm at home sick, I'm watching the whole series of 'Band of Brothers'. While trying to ignore the dust, plaster and grout all over my house until it is all finished tonight. Tomrrow will be cleaning while trying to get over this damn virus.

See you,

Kelly

Hi there Kelly. Was wondering where you had gotten to.

Sounds like you have been a busy little beaver. Renovating - ugh, sounds just as bad a building a house, which we are in the process of doing. At least once your renovations are done, you can get back into the exercising and have some time for you.

Bugger about the nasty bug you've got. Sounds like you're feeling pretty miserable. Just get plenty of rest, which I'm sure you will and you'll be bouncing off the walls in no time.

Don't know if you've been reading my blog, but I have just over 2 weks to go on my challenge. It's gone so fast.

Wow Kelly that rennovating sounds hard core. I am sorry that you have come down sick. Poor thing. I was sick about a week ago too, I think it must be going around.

Don't worry, my results have been non existance too. Never too late to start again though :) 9 weeks until xmas, we can do this!!

Talk to you soon

Hi Kelly - great to see you posting again!!!

Those rennovations sound absolutely draining!!!!!

It's easy to "retreat" but I find when I'm done that by surrounding myself with friends who share similar interest my motivation comes right back.....X 10!!!!!

We're all right here for you!!!!

Hey Kelly

I TOTALLY sympathise with you in regards to renovating. It is SHIT!
I got to the point where I was depressed just at the thought of getting up, putting on King Gees and spending the day around feral mess! It is worth it in the end but I am never going to take on anything quite as intense as that again!

Hopefully it will be over for you soon!

Good luck with the exercise and diet thang! It is SO hard at this time of year but I want to be a spunk by Christmas!

love
