Closing this blog for a while
I have been so slack with blogging here the past 7 months and trying to think of both blogs is too much. For that reason, I am not going to post on this blog, at least until we return to Australia in 18 months. Please save my travel link if you would like to stay in touch, as although I am slack with it too, I check it more regularly than this one. I only use this one to check everyone else's blog!!!!! (When it decides to work!!!!) I haven't shared my engagement story yet. I have just been too busy to start, though I will - I promise! On my other blog ;)
Take care,
Kelly

Moderating comments now...
I have found a back entrance onto my page through pkblogs, but I still can't see the comments you leave for me. I can't leave comments either, so PLEASE..... don't think I am ignoring you or being rude and lazy, I just can't leave you a comment on your blog, so from time to time I might leave you a comment in my posts and you may just happen to see it when you come visiting.
I can however read your comments if I have to moderate them - yay - a little success! So I will moderate, read and allow comments hence forward.
I will leave you with more photos.

Hi all,
I am in China and it is a massive new experience. I am having a lot of trouble with blogger though, which is a bit sad. I can do almost everything except look at blogs. I can't see mine or yours but I can get to the dashboard, profile etc...
If you don't hear from me in a while it is because I can't use blogger!!!!!
I will leave you with some photos...

Plodding
I haven't had much to say lately, seems as though most people are hidden in winter gloom!
I had a lovely birthday last week. Although I didn't get many presents, I did only just buy a brand new laptop, had my hair and nails done. I thought that was nearly enough :) I did however get a couple of gift vouchers, tatts ticket and lunch in the botanical gardens in Albury. I was actually pretty damn lucky.... my birthday was a beautiful day now I come to think of it! I never have nice weather on my birthday, it is afterall Xmas in July (25th). The sun was shining the birds were gathered around scavenging, it was warmish if you were in direct line with the sun, so yeah happy Kelly :)
We have totally moved out of our house now, it is all clean, we only have a couple of little thing to finish off outside like fixing the bloody automatic roller door. It has decided to cark it when we are out of the house and very poor, same thing happened with the heater 2 weeks ago- bam - there goes $400, and we're not working at the moment and still paying the mortgage as we still have not tenants - grrrr
I have had a wonderful day today, gym'd it. I only did 20min cardio (as was very bored) and did a circuit weights session and finished off with 5 min cool down on teddy treddy.
I have done 4 loads of washing, reorganised my beauty case (got rid of the hair), made minestrone soup, folded washing, played on 'puter and cleaned room that is stacked with 6 suitcases! Ha - I don't need to work to stay busy eh?
I am actually really loving not working, I am so content, so happy and non stressed. I have been thinking of doing a course on gel nails when I come back from China as I really know that I don't want to teach when I have kids - really not liking it. Does anyone do nails out there? What's it like? I know I love getting mine done and I am really good a putting nail polish on every ones nails - I have a very steady hand.
Oh well - 5 sleeps until we go to Melbourne, 6 till we fly out to China
Bye everyone

It's my birthday tomorrow!

holidays continued...
I went to visit my Great-Grandmother in her nursing home on Monday last week, it was her 94th birthday. Her eye sight has deteriorated dramatically in the past few years and she had trouble recognising me when I first came in. I had to get real close and say 'hello Grandma it's Kelly'. She still was a bit apprehensive as it was a surprise and she wasn't expecting me. We had a big chat and then I continued on driving back to Traralgon.
I can't account for Tuesday!!!!!! (it has disappeared never tob e seen again)
Wednesday it was snowing on the hill surrounding the Latrobe Valley. It was extremely cold 7.3 degrees I think. I went to visit my step-dad's father who is sick. We chatted for about 2 hours, I told them about my travel blog and my Aunt and Grandad saved it as a favourite.
Thursday Mum and I drove to Melbourne for an appointment.
Friday I had my hair nicely coloured and got my nails french gel'd. I didn't get the tips as my nails grow quite nicely. I just wanted the gel to protect the nail from breaking. I went out for tea with 3 of my friends and got a lovely surprise a voucher for my birthday. Thanks so much girls!!!
Saturday I went down the street with Mum for some groceries and then went and watched TTU netball. I used to play for TTU before I moved to Wodonga. Nearly all the girls playing were different from when I played. The quality was verrrry different too. I always explained that our Mitta 'A' Grade in the Tallangatta and District was close North Gippslands 'B' Grade, but after yesterday we are on a par with their 'A' Grade too. This makes me feel pretty good because years ago I was only playing 'C' Grade down here, now I'm 'A' Grade a Mitta (or used to be)Sooooo... I must have improved ehh?????
See ya

Melbourne INBA
I got to meet Sue, Jodie, Hilde, Selina, Kerry and her friend Kerry, Ali and Natalie. We had coffee at Choclatte on Bourke Rd Camberwell before heading down to the pre-judging show. Photos were taken while at coffee, but my camera sometimes is not well behaved so the other girls will email through some groups shots I'm sure.
At the pre-judging there were many classes and it will be interesting to see if the girls I thought were well defined etc won or not. The Fitness class was amazing, what those girls can do is whoa!!! There were so many sports model competitor's and this division is spread out over the whole pre-juding show. One of the girls obviously had lost a lot of weight to be in the comp , it may have been a reward at the end of the weight loss journey. She had quite a lot of loose skin around her stomach etc, but how motivating to see her up there!!! She must be so proud of herself :)
Shar was sensational, I have photos but wont be able to put them on for about a week. She was sooo dark, Natalie and I nearly didn't recognise her. When I came home I showed my Nan a comparison of her in her blog picture when she was bigger compared to the photos today, Nan nearly fell over!!!!
After sitting down for the 3 hour show I was starting to feel a little ill. Maybe from the air con or dehydration, or maybe the lights but I had a headache and decided to come home and miss the awards. It was going to be a 3 hour wait and so made the executive decision to hop the train and head home. Like everyone now I'll need to wait to hear results.
See you,
Kelly

Week 2 of not working.
Life has been smooth sailing at the moment. We successfully had our birthday party last weekend. Everyone had great night at the Stanley Pub. The meal were terrific, service fantastic and the money over the bar was a big hit! Kane proceeded to get 'smashed' drunk, and he tried to tongue kiss several of his mates. I drove home which in a way wasn't a bad thing as I was feeling quite well the next day, the same can not be said for the other half!
I'm at Mums at the moment just relaxing. When driving from Wodonga to Traralgon I tend to come down with some kind of bug. Not sure why.... maybe the smog in the valley, some people put down to air con, or the stress of tiredness of it all. What exactly causes the sickness, I don't know! I had a massage on Monday and the lady played around with my neck, that could of contributed, my neck was quite stiff and sore afterwards particularly on the right side, which is funny... this year I have had right side soreness all over. Sciatic pain in my right hip, knee calf and ankle, soreness in my right ribs, tightness in my right glutes and lower back and in my knee. All connected somehow, it must be!
So anyway my sore throat is still sore after resting for two days, it hurt to brush my hair today and phlegm is in back of throat, so I'm guessing I have sinus. Sudafed and nurofen seem to be helping. I went to the old faithfull chiro today in Traralgon (I hadn't seen him for 5 years), and he said I adjusted quite well and that the pain my neck should settle in 1 day or so. He also said the pain I have had in my ribs for the past 7 weeks (a la netball training!!!) could be a cracked rib or muscle injury, well der! Apparently may take 6 months properly heal.
I bought Leo, my cat down to Mum's this week as he will be spending the next two years with Mum while I am OS. He is very sloooooowly adjusting! The hissing and spitting are only occurring now within a 4 metre radius which is a vast improvement on the first few days. I had one highly stressed puddy cat. I have been giving him 1/4 Valium (vet prescribed) to help calm him down occasionally, however I think this may only be affecting his mobility, he seems quite able to think mentally during this drugged state as the growling certainly does not cease.
I may be going to Healesville tomorrow to start my trek to Melbourne, not that T'gon is that far from Melb, it's just easier to travel on the train from Lilydale to Camberwell than drive from T'gon to Camberwell (I hate driving in Melb traffic) I have written down the address of the comp and where everyone is meeting for coffee so I only need to get there. I was waiting to see how this bug developed!
I am thinking of selling my car before I go OS. Doing some research today and I think I can still get around 11 grand for it. Not bad for a 7 year old car. We will see what develops there.
Cheers for now and good luck to Shar who is competing in her first figure comp this weekend!

Hello there...
I am a free woman! No work or anything to do. Can you hear how bored I sound? We had our worldly possessions packed on Tuesday and sent off on a ship to China. I am living out of several large suitcases and toiletry bags at the moment. I may have to 'cull' further before I leave.
My house is clean, bags packed, I can't change any addresses yet... oh the boredom of a life of luxury! Soooooooo, I bought a book! It's called 'A Very Short History of the World' by Geoffrey Blainey. It's a bit heavy, but I do love history.
We bought a new laptop last Friday and so I am typing on it right now. It's a Toshiba Satellite A200/C00, it has Core2 Duo processor and runs with Windows Vista instead of XP. We have also downloaded a trial of Office 2007 which is a novelty, I usually get the latest office 2 years after it's out. Trust me it very different, especially Word07!!!!!
We also got a lot of movies from a friend the other day, but you know what? I am so not in the mood for hard core movies- Give me the midday movie at the moment. BF been watching shooting movies and horror, I think it was Wolf Creek yesterday, not my type at all. I really enjoyed Miss Potter... that's my type of happy feel good movie.
This weekend has multiple happenings. It is Kane's 30th birthday tomorrow and so we are having a b'day party for him, my step Dad and myself, as we all have our birthday's in July. This is happening on Saturday night out at the Stanley Pub which is close to Beechworth. Why all the way out there I hear you ask????? We play against Beechworth in the footy/netball this Saturday and so I thought lets do something different. I have ordered a marble mud cake from the cheesecake shop to take out, so that will be very yummy. All my family are coming up from all over the state to watch me play my LAST GAME of netball and celebrate our birthday's, it's also a bit of a going away party too.
Onto next weekend.... da da da... I am going to Melbourne to watch the INBA. I have never been to one of these events before and it should be a real eye-opener. I am really looking forward to meeting a lot of people I know, but have never met. So I will be meeting people for coffee at a coffee shop near the venue.
What a lovely long post (by my standards)
Cheers everyone,
Kelly

One more day...
Tomorrow is my last day of teaching until I reach China. It is bitter sweet at the moment. I'm glad it's over, but... I feel bitter towards the girl taking my class for some reason???? She gets all my hard work, my organised and mostly well behaved classroom, everything! I feel really rattled, trying to get all my stuff out of the classroom, being told to hand in my keys, organising my stuff to be packed for China next Tuesday as well as visitors on the weekend. How the hell do I fill out a detailed insurance evaluation form detailing quantity and cost of things I'm not even sure I'm taking yet. I'm a visual person. I need to see things to list them. I'm getting stressed again... why? Because I am out of control and I hate that feeling. My routine is shot and I'm lost...
To finish with, this our new niece Chelsea. This was the day after my operation, you can see the yellow eyes! Cooper, our nephew is in the background eating his banana.

Long weekend quickie

Blogger might be having a big day with most of the country having a public holiday today. How good is that? I've had friends from Traralgon come to visit. We did the Rutherglen winery walk-about on Saturday, had a great day, was very drunk by the end and have the shitest meal for tea Saturday night. We went to a Japanese Tepiniaki (sp?) bar. We had a banquet and I felt so sick by the end. The tempura prawns were revolting, never going there again! Yesterday was a bit of recovery and cleaning. We had dinner (Pizza-yuck, I had a piece of garlic bread instead) at a friends place last night. I made a trifle and we had that for dessert. Played a game called Dumb Ass and went shockingly bad! So I got a lovely long sleep in this morning, woke up and had mini wheat's and green tea for brekkie as well as my daily yakult and multi-vit tablet and watched Miss Potter on my laptop, what a great movie, I really liked it.
Just a quick post today as I'm not in the mood to write a great deal, not after writing 20 school reports in the past week :((( Joys of teaching.

I think I might be one of the last to do this activity...
1. I was zone high jump champion in Year 7.
2. I don't like dogs very much, I hate being licked and hate the bruises they leave on you legs with their tail if it's hard and I hate the jumping and barking!
3. I'm a cat person.
4. My parents divorced when I was 6, my Dad was abusive. My Mum then had a boyfriend Peter for 5 years, they were about to get married when he died in a car accident. Mum then met another man who is now my step Dad but it took a lot of time for be to come around to him. My family went through a lot and I still don't want a relationship with my Dad, even though he has been trying. I had a lot of trust issues with men after all this in my teens and early 20's.
5. Kane is my first serious relationship, previously I had one 4 month relationship which ended when he cheated on me, it took a long time to get over it. And that is the reason I moved so far away from home.
6. I am addicted to picking things like pimples.
7. I am really want kids. Some people want to go overseas, get to a particular job level or own their home, my goal is to have children.
There you go, not sure if the above is what we are supposed to write but oh well!!!!! When reading through it, it sounds a little negative, oops.
I went to Body Combat tonight and I felt so unco! I think it will take a bit to get used to it.

Oh my God!
Monday - netball training
Tuesday - spa (planned to swim but there was another netball team taking up the public lanes)
Wednesday - 2 hours netball training
Thursday 1 hour netball training
Friday 500m swim and spa
Saturday - 1 hour netball game
Sunday - Body Balance class and 2 hours weeding
Holy shit!!!!
I did 6 training sessions this week, no wonder my body is screaming today.
Back is very sore today so are hip flexors and my glutes that go around my hips.
Just a short one cause I was impressed and shocked, now I need to add some weights and totally change my diet to see some changes ;)
Cheers
